DKL Metals Ltd was established in 1986 as an independent
manufacturer of tin/lead alloys. Since then it
has grown substantially so that today it is recognised
as one of the UK's leading suppliers of high purity
solders and alloys - manufactured in accordance
with national and international standards or customer
proprietary specifications. This has not happened
by mere chance. It has been and always will be
DKL Metals policy to pursue the highest standards
of quality and consistency in order to satisfy
the varied and exacting demands of the modern manufacturing
industry. This is achieved by taking the greatest
care in the selection of basic raw materials and
imposing stringent quality control standards through
each stage of manufacture.
In February 1991, DKL Metals was amongst the first
in the industry to gain accreditation under BS5750.
Part 2 for their Quality Management System. The
company has continued to maintain and update
their QMS in line with the changing requirements
of the
Standard and are now approved to BS EN ISO 9001:2000.

successfully implemented an Environmental Management
System in compliance with
EN-ISO-14001 (1996), Certificate No 10073/1.1
and continues to examine ways of improving quality
whilst minimising the environmental impact of
their
processes.
In
recognition of pending E.U. legislation to remove
lead and other harmful materials under
RoHS, DKL Metals formed a number of strategic alliances
with like-minded independent companies and in
2002
signed a manufacturing licence with Nihon Superior
Co. Ltd of Japan to produce their SN100 range
of lead-free solders. At this time they also formally
linked up with Balver Zinn of Germany and a year
later with FCTA, USA offering customers a global
supply network of lead free solutions. DKL Metals
has also signed licence agreements with Senju
Metal
Industry Co. Ltd of Japan and IOWA State University
Research Foundation "ISURF enabling them
to uniquely in the UK, to offer the three most
popular
lead-free solders in use worldwide.
The company's personnel have many years of experience
in all aspects of alloy technology and this,
coupled with an on site, fully equipped laboratory
ensures
a prompt analytical and problem solving service
together with sound advice in suitability of
alloy use. It also enables products to be specifically
tailored to customer's own unique requirements.
Despite their continued expansion the company
still remains committed to the basic "small
company philosophy" of rapid response and
personal service linked to competitive pricing
- a proven formula that works to the benefit
of all concerned.
