DKL Metals are a registered solder waste recycling and dross collection company.
Our solder recycling service is easy, environmentally friendly, and complies with all regulations. You will be provided with reclamation buckets and instructions detailing what to do. We supply the dross tins free of charge and can also arrange collection from your business at no extra cost.
Solder dross is classed as hazardous product, so needs to be transported and recycled through the proper authorities. We can collect your dross through licensed waste transport carriers. If you have any questions though-out the solder waste recycling process, then please contact our team.
Our DKL Metals in-house laboratory offers a bath analysis programme. This is particularly important with lead-free alloys, as the monitoring of copper and lead levels is critical to a smooth running and controlled process.
We know solder can become contaminated with other metals that are dissolved during the soldering process. The impurities collected throughout this process can affect the physical characteristics & ability of the solder. We can test your samples at our in-house laboratory, once analysed, your results will be delivered.
Routine samples must be prepared with the DKL Metals sampling kit. Please contact us if you are interested in this service and a sampling kit will be sent out to you. You will then have to prepare the sample correctly and follow the enclosed instructions to ensure your analysis figures are true and not misleading.
